Parish Council members recently met at the site of the new community hall receiving a tour of the new facilities and the new homes development being built by Hayfield Homes.
The building of the new community hall marks the delivery of a collection of forty-three 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 bedroom homes on the western edge of Great Bourton. In a move to support the local community, Hayfield Homes secured plans to build the new community hall as well as a children’s play area with help from The Bourtons Parish Council, who were invited to the site.
Sally Leszczynski, Chairman of The Bourtons Parish Council comments; “This community hall is in an ideal position to connect the new and existing residents together – we have a very social and friendly community, so it will be a great way for new residents to get involved in village life and will be a huge benefit to not just our own, but to the wider community who use the hall as well.”
She goes on to say, “Government initiatives in planning have encouraged developers to involve the local community from an early stage, and we are glad that Hayfield Homes have adopted this policy. Bourtons Parish Council has been pleased to work with Hayfield Homes, as from the outset we have found that we share common aims in making optimum use of this land.”
Speaking on site, Mark Booth, Director of Hayfield Homes commented; “These works reflect our commitment to the village of Great Bourton and the future needs of new and existing residents alike. The building of the new village hall and the play area will help provide facilities that will mean the community continues to flourish.”
The community hall is well underway, with the foundations and frame in place. The new homes are also progressing well, with the show home ahead of schedule and an estimated launch date of Spring 2018. More information is available at www.hayfieldhomes.co.uk.
