Life In The Bourtons
The Two Villages are located a mere mile apart and 3 miles from the market town of Banbury where many shops and canalised dining is ….
Two Villages, One Community
The two villages, Great and Little Bourton is one parish which now has over 600 residents altogether and over 350 dwellings.
In spite of the fact that most amenities are based in the next village of Cropredy, we still have a busy community who organise events, mainly fundraising for local or national charities.
Clubs and Groups
We have a few clubs and groups who meet regularly and now a range of activities available at our new Community Hall.
Although our amenities are limited there are plenty of leisure, sports, arts and crafts opportunities in neighbouring Cropredy and Banbury.
Compared to most parishes our church is not that old but it does boast an unusual clock tower of which there are only 3 in the UK. It is part of the Shires Edge Benefice, so named because we border two other counties.
Village Venues For Hire
Our new Community Hall is a great place to hold functions of every kind and can be booked through our website.
Our village hall was once the village chapel and provides a homely space for family functions and small village groups and societies.
Our church has a kitchen and toilet facilities together with a space to hold meetings and gatherings.
