Friends of All Saints

The Friends are volunteers – there is no need to attend church to be involved – who help to raise money for the upkeep of the Church and Bell Tower. Funds are raised through a range of activities e.g. raffles and events such as the Bourtons’ big breakfasts, coffee mornings, festive gatherings and summer fun. Ideas are welcomed along with help and support from anyone interested in caring for the iconic ‘centre’ of our lovely village and community. For your information here are our terms of reference.
Bourtons’ Big Breakfasts are now so popular they are held twice a year. The food is kindly donated by local suppliers, friends and neighbours, and bbq’d / cooked by the experienced ‘Friends of All Saints’ chefs!
Churchyard Tidy: watch out for dates – ‘more hands make light work’ – bring your gardening gloves, trowel and secateurs and spend a couple of hours tidying up around the churchyard and filling the brown bins. Enjoy the sponsored snowdrop bank in mid-winter and the hundreds of daffodils, courtesy of the Wildlife Friendly Community team, in spring.
There is a collection box in church or alternatively items may be left with our Church Warden – Pauline, Alnecot, School Lane, Gt Bourton. Items are taken to Banbury Food Bank (The Trussell Trust).
The Church is open daily during British Summer Time and for services at all other times. (click here to see details)
