Covid 19 – Coronavirus:
The parish churches in the benefice are working alongside their communities to put in place ways of caring appropriately for those in particular need, including those needing to stay isolated. Today (Tuesday 17th March) the Church of England has confirmed that public worship is to stop for the time being. Our usual pattern of Sunday services and other mid-week gatherings must be put on hold. For those who would find it helpful, we will seek to provide prayer and reflection resources that can be used at home. I will use social media, A Church Near You and village websites to advertise these, and keep people informed and supported as best we can.
These are good sources of information:
Will resume at a later date.
Will not be taking place until normal Church services are resumed.
Information regarding Parish Events will be updated when further information is received.

Other Lent resources will be offered to use at home (Lent in a bag)
ideas for reflecting with star words and Live Lent booklets.
Spirit of the desert, you drove Jesus to the edge of the world to find his truth and calling: scour our hearts and awaken our hunger that free from empty clinging we might find ourselves in you: through Jesus Christ, the Lord of the wilds. Amen
(Prayers for an inclusive Church Steven Shakespeare 2008)
As the season of Lent makes us face hard choices,
we pray for those struggling with difficult decisions, anxious about the future,
overwhelmed by loss May those in positions of power and responsibility
decide in favour of those in need and for the common good.
Forgiving, giving God, may we return to your ways, and choose life.
