  Messages from Revd. Sarah

If you’d like to explore/revisit the basics of Christian faith, I am going to be offering some sessions after Easter. These are a good basis for anyone interested in confirmation as the next step, also. Bishop Jonathan will be confirming in the Benefice on Sunday September 1st.

Celebration & Commissioning of Siobhan and Rebeca Croft, as

Authorized Preachers, and

Sue Upton as Authorized Funeral Minister, for the Shires Edge Benefice, 14th April in the 10.30 am Cropredy Service. Do please join us to support

these three who have been faithfully serving in the Benefice for many years. Revd. Dr Phil Cooke, Interim Principal of the Local Ministry Programme will be preaching, and there will be refreshments afterwards.

These are all a 3-year authorization, approved by the PCCs of the Benefice and authorized by +Gavin. Training has involved some ministry and safeguarding training, and the ministry is to be exercised as a collaborative ministry with other ministers in the Benefice Team, and working with the incumbent to support our worship and outreach to children and families, and our ministry to the bereaved.

Do pray for Sue, Siobhan and Rebecca, at this special time.

APCMs

Annual Parochial Church Meetings, everyone is welcome.

25th April Mollington and Wardington

29th April Cropredy

30th April Gt. Bourton

With my thanks to all who serve God and the Benefice in these key roles.

Mothering Sunday Services are a great opportunity to invite someone to church, or to remember someone pastorally by taking flowers/card.

Tuesday 26th and Wed 27th March afternoon for an hour.

School End of Term Easter Service: Sides people and welcomers needed for this whole school service, at St Mary’s Cropredy,

Palm Sunday

United Service at St Mary Magdalene Wardington, 10 am.

Please do join us to celebrate the beginning of Holy Week. To journey the course of the week remember Morning prayer, Tuesday Holy Communion and Maundy Thursday Eucharist and Vigil at Mollington.

Good Friday St Mary’s Cropredy, 12 noon  Quiet Service of Reflection

Easter Sunday Services all include an egg hunt for extra fun.

If you could offer to help with this, please speak with Revd Sarah. If you could also offer to support refreshments, reading, siding on Easter Sunday, this too is so much appreciated, please speak to a Warden or to Revd Sarah.

Do be in touch if you’d like to explore/revisit the basics of Christian faith, and are interested in confirmation as the next step. Revd Sarah.
