A Message from Revd. Hilary:

I am concerned at the recent news. The levels of Covid-19 are still rising, and there is severe pressure being put on our already hard-pressed health service.

At the moment, in tier 4 we are still permitted to have the church buildings open for communal worship and private prayer. However, our bishops have given permission for  parishes not to hold ‘in-person’ worship if that seems best locally. We need to continue to bear in mind the risk profile of our congregations.

I suggest that we should not hold Sunday worship in our church buildings for at least the next couple of weeks, though keeping some buildings open (as we have already been doing) for private prayer.

I will host Sunday prayers on Zoom and provide written worship resources as we have done previously.

I hope you agree this is a sensible course of action.
