OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(BOURTON [BANBURY]) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 20**
NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
The effect of the order – in support of road safety issues – is to introduce a 20mph speed limit throughout the parish of Bourton replacing the existing 30mph speed limit in the residential areas in its entirety – leading outwards to the following points:
Great Bourton:
Main Street: a. Western end – a point 55 metres northeast of its junction with the A423 Southam Road,
Eastern end – a point 135 metres northeast if its junction with Crow Lane,
Foxden Way – a point 50 metres south of its junction with Crow Lane/School Lane.
Little Bourton:
Chapel Lane – a point 45 metres east of its junction with the A423 Southam Road,
Spring Lane – its junction with Foxden Way.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Bourton Parish, Banbury) (Speed Limits) Order 2019 will be revoked/replaced as necessary.

Objections to the proposals and other representations specifying the grounds on which they are made may be sent in writing to the address below by 26 May 2023.
The Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.
