There will be a National Moment of Reflection for Queen Elizabeth II on Sunday 18th September, the night before the state funeral, with a collective minute’s silence at 8pm.
Residents of the Bourtons are invited to gather at the Clock Tower in Great Bourton from 7.45pm to share in this as a community.
Just before 8pm there will be a short address to be followed by the one minute National Silence for the Queen. This reflective silence will be initiated by the striking of the church clock and will conclude with a reading of the recent Proclamation of King Charles III.
You are welcome to bring torches, lanterns and/or your ‘phone to light up the event. The Church Tower will also be lit.
