A new Tuesday bus service 498, which will commence on 14th April. The service has been introduced following notification of the withdrawal of Ability’s demand-responsive transport service after Monday 13th April. Ability currently offers travel between Claydon, Cropredy and Great Bourton and Banbury on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Coventry Minibuses service 497 continues to link these locations with Banbury on Thursdays.
Service 498 will be operated by Oxfordshire County Council Fleet Services using an accessible minibus. As with other routes operated by OCC’s in-house fleet, no fares will be charged.
Residents requiring additional support to meet their transport needs after Monday 13th April should contact Volunteer Driver Service CIC on 0300 3030 125. Volunteer Driver Service offers door-to-door transport by car for those who find it difficult to use conventional bus services.
Please feel free to get in touch should you have any queries.
Best wishes,
