Hello, I’m Amie Longhurst from Thames Water and I’m writing to let you know that we’ll soon be starting work in Southam Road/A423 near Bourton Field Farm, this is to replace your water pipes so we can give you a more reliable service. This will be carried out in three phases. Our delivery partner for the work will be Morrison Water Services, who will be carrying out this essential work on our behalf. Our site team will be wearing Thames Water personal protective clothing.
When we’re working
Phase One will commence from Monday 13 January 2025 until Friday 14 February 2025. Our working hours will be Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturdays’ 9am to 1pm. If this changes, we’ll let you know in advance. We will advise you in advance of the next phase closer to the time.
How you’re affected
- Our engineers will be setting up temporary two-way traffic lights manually controlled on Southam Road between Thickthorn Farm and Bourton Field Farm for the duration above to enable the team to carry out the required work.
- Please be mindful of the signage and the workers whilst driving through the works.
- If we need to turn off your water supply, we will notify you in writing in advance of any isolations planned.
Please be careful when walking/driving and cycling through our work areas, you may experience delays when machines are in use, please be patient with the site teams and adhere to all the signage. We will fill in holes and put any verges back to how we found them. If we’re unable to, due to the weather, for example, we’ll return later to complete the making good.
We apologise for any inconvenience you may experience, and we’ll do everything we can to keep noise and disruption to a minimum.
