Hello, I’m Amie Longhurst from Thames Water and I’m writing to let you know that we’ll soon be starting work in Southam Road between Bourton Road and Hardwick Hill, this is to replace your water pipes so we can give you a more reliable service. Our delivery partner for the work will be Morrison Water Services, who will be carrying out this essential work on our behalf. Our site team will be wearing Thames Water personal protective clothing.
When we’re working
Phase One will commence from Monday 24 March 2025 until Friday 28 April 2025. Our working hours will be Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturdays’ 9am to 1pm. If this changes, we’ll let you know in advance.
How you’re affected
Our engineers will be setting up temporary multi-way traffic lights manually controlled on Southam Road between Bourton Road and Hardwick Hill for the duration of our work as above, to enable the team to carry out the required work safely.
- Access to the cemetery will be made available.
- Please be mindful of the signage and the workers whilst driving through the works.
- We will need to suspend the bus stops on both sides between our works which will be displayed appropriately, and alternatives will be put in place by the bus company.
- If we need to turn off your water supply, we will notify you in writing in advance of any isolations planned.
Please be careful when walking/driving and cycling through our work areas, you may experience delays when machines are in use, please be patient with the site teams and adhere to all the signage. We will fill in holes and put any verges back to how we found them. If we’re unable to, due to the weather, for example, we’ll return later to make good the areas affected.
We apologise for any inconvenience you may experience, and we’ll do everything we can to keep noise and disruption to a minimum.
